Apple cider vinegar (ACV) has been used for centuries, even by ancient Spartan warriors, for its perceived health benefits and strength-enhancing properties. The key active ingredient, acetic acid, helps stabilize blood sugar, aids digestion, improves mineral absorption, and may assist with weight management and detoxification.
ACV also contains the “Mother,” a combination of friendly bacteria and enzymes that contribute to its health properties. Although beneficial, ACV should be diluted to protect tooth enamel, and intake should not exceed six tablespoons per day. It is often incorporated into health drinks like “Ketorade” for added benefits.
Shake your bottle before use!
The armies of the Spartans – yes those famous movies like #300 and Troy – consumed Vinegar for strength. They made “black soup” which included boiled pig legs, blood, salt and vinegar.
The main ingredient in apple cider vinegar is acetic acid, which can stabilize blood sugar when you go to bed. Acetic acid can be absorbed by your body as fuel. The “Mother” in ACV refers to friendly bacteria and enzymes or sediment at the bottom. The pH of ACV is between 2,5 and 3,5.

The mother in apple cider vinegar is a combination of two things: friendly bacteria and enzymes. You can’t actually see bacteria or enzymes. This means you can’t see the true mother in apple cider vinegar. One tablespoon of apple cider vinegar (ACV) has .01g of carbohydrates. You don’t have to worry about consuming apple cider vinegar while fasting. Do not exceed 6 table spoons per day. Because it is acidic, it can cause tooth enamel erosion. Dilute, use a straw and rinse thoroughly afterwards to minimize risk.
When to take it, will be determined by what you are trying to accomplish
First thing in the morning on an empty stomach – prime digestion
Before a meal (15-20 minutes) – enhanced digestion
Before bed – blood sugar control
Or, do all of them. Do not exceed 6 table spoons (90ml) in a 24-hour cycle!
If you battle or dislike the taste of Apple Cider Vinegar, add one table spoon of lemon juice to your glass. That will take away the after taste – you can also add a few drops of Stevia concentrate. You can also add Sparkling water.
What is the difference between Acid reflux and GERD? The terms acid reflux and GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease) are related but not identical. Acid reflux is a symptom, not a disease. It happens when stomach acid flows backward into the esophagus, causing discomfort. GERD is a chronic medical condition where acid reflux happens frequently (usually more than twice a week) and leads to inflammation or damage of the esophagus.
Oh, by the way. There is a YouTube video where they just throw Bragg’s Apple Cider vinegar over the male “member”, claiming it can increase in size by 65%. False! All that you might get is a chemical burn. The recipe for KETORADE
